Position Overview

The Concrete Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent and Project Management team in planning, coordinating, and executing all field operations on active concrete projects. This position helps ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to CGL’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field supervision and coordination of crews, subs, and suppliers.
• Review and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications for layout and execution.
• Monitor work progress, quality, and productivity; report daily activity to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with GC field staff, inspectors, and other trades to resolve site issues.
• Track concrete quantities, deliveries, and pour schedules.
• Support jobsite safety compliance and ensure team adherence to CGL safety policies.
• Maintain accurate field documentation including daily logs, photos, timecards, and equipment usage.
• Assist with pre-pour checklists, layout verification, and quality control inspections.
• Help identify and communicate potential schedule impacts or material needs early.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of concrete field experience (structural and/or site).
• Strong knowledge of formwork, rebar, layout, and finishing practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Basic computer and tablet proficiency (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
