Position Overview: 


An Associate at Agecroft Partners and Gaining the Edge works closely with the sales team through attentive database management, thorough prospect research, operational support, and assistance in sales opportunities. This position coordinates directly with the Gaining the Edge team by planning industry cocktail receptions, capital introduction events, and educational webinars. This position comes with the opportunity to work toward earning the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 exams.


The ideal candidate will be an efficient and attentive communicator, an eager and active salesperson, and deeply interested in alternative investments. New team members will be on-site five days a week in the Richmond office.


Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on prospective institutional investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth, endowments, family offices, etc.) and alternative investment managers (hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, real estate) to support lead generation.
  • Maintain and update the CRM database with targeted prospect information, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Assist in email marketing and phone calls to engage prospects and drive attendance at events.
  • Support the planning and execution of industry cocktail receptions, capital introduction events, and webinars.
  • Provide general operational support and client services as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a related field (i.e. business, finance, economics, etc.)
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Interest in and knowledge of the alternative investment industry
