American Federal Bank is actively seeking a self-motivated and relational team player to join its Fargo Downtown Sales Office. This full-time benefited position is an integral part of the Sales Office support and service team, is customer service focused and provides a wide range of duties.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Build long-term, personal relationships to meet client needs
  • Complete deposit, loan, and cash-handling transactions
  • May assist with account opening and delivery of deposit and consumer loan products and services
  • May provide administrative support related to loan processing, documentation, and account maintenance
  • Solutions focused in assisting clients with questions and resolving problems as they arise
  • Identify sales opportunities and referrals to Sales Bankers and Registered Representatives
  • Support and service of consumer and business relationships
  • Maintain operational accuracy and compliance within established bank policies and procedures and applicable governmental regulatory laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

Essential Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
  • Previous banking, financial services, or customer-facing retail experience preferred
  • Excellent customer relations, interpersonal, communication, organizational, delegation, and team player skills
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing Consumer, Mortgage and Ag and Business lending

Skills and Abilities

  • Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-directed learner with demonstrated initiative, interest, and ability to learn and maintain skills and knowledge of operating and regulatory systems
  • Organization and management of multiple requests and priorities
  • Commitment to American Federal values, including honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness
