The firm manages multiple large-scale funds dedicated to renewable energy and energy infrastructure, with a focus on developing, financing, and owning assets that accelerate the decarbonization of the power sector.

The Role

The Associate will join a lean, high-ownership investment team in New York, actively participating in the full investment process from identifying and diligencing opportunities through execution, portfolio management, financing, and monetization. The mandate spans conventional generation, renewable generation, utility-scale storage, and adjacent platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Build detailed financial models and support execution of investment, financing, and monetization activities across the portfolio
  • Assist with due diligence, transaction structuring, and the compilation of internal materials to inform investment decision-making
  • Develop presentation materials for a range of audiences including investment committee memos, rating agency presentations, and marketing materials
  • Support active involvement in financing activities across acquisitions, refinancings, and development including term loans, fixed rate notes, bonds, and tax equity
  • Inform internal views on new subsectors and technologies through fundamental economic modeling, market sizing, industry research, and company diligence
  • Work across internal subject matter teams including energy marketing, asset management, environmental, legal, tax, and accounting
  • Engage with portfolio companies on key initiatives including financings, development, tack-on acquisitions, and monetization opportunities
  • Track policy, regulatory, and market developments that shape the investment landscape including IRA incentives, interconnection reform, and offtake markets

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Have 3-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Experience across the full lifecycle of a transaction (i.e. screening, development of investment thesis, due diligence, negotiation of terms, closing) preferred
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a solid grounding in corporate finance and accounting principles
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills; comfort engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Familiarity with US power markets preferred
  • Genuine interest in the energy transition and long-duration infrastructure investing

Why This Role

  • Work directly with senior investment professionals on large-scale, complex transactions from day one
  • Gain rare exposure to greenfield development risk, long-duration capital, and institutional infrastructure investing
  • Be part of a lean, high-ownership team where your work directly informs investment decisions
