Associate Adjuster - Auto

<Job Overview>
RAM is seeking to add to our talented team of Auto Claims Adjusters. Our auto adjusters play a critical role in investigating claims, determining liability, confirming coverage, determining the value of damages, and resolving claims which may include paying, settling or denying claims. Auto adjusters also play an important customer service role in explaining policy coverage and serving as the primary point of contact for insureds throughout the claims process. This role will primarily focus on auto adjusting with cross training to support other areas as needed. Position level and compensation may vary according to qualifications and experience and provide ample opportunities for advancement. North Dakota and/or Minnesota auto adjusting experience is highly desirable.

<Duties>

• Investigate auto insurance claims by assessing vehicle damages through inspections, photographs, and reports.
• Collaborate with repair shops, auto body technicians, and service writers to gather repair estimates and determine coverage.
• Negotiate claim settlements with policyholders, repair facilities, and other stakeholders to reach fair resolutions efficiently.
• Maintain detailed documentation of claim investigations, negotiations, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate clearly with all parties involved throughout the claims process to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.

<Qualifications>

• Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and insurance industry experience
• Two or more years of prior customer service experience, preferably including phone-based customer service
• Prior insurance industry experience; preferable in Property & Casualty claims and/or insurance
• Prior auto claims experience in North Dakota and Minnesota strongly desired.
• Interest and ability to pursue industry education/certification(s) offered by The Institutes
• Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet established deadlines
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships and provide exceptional customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills in order to handle multiple and varied claims tasks
• Strong computer skills; proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn Company-specific computer programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $46,800.00 - $50,700.00 per year
