The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a key role in maintaining positive client relationships, supporting policy management, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position involves assisting clients with policy questions, processing changes, managing renewals, and providing general administrative support to the agency's sales and service teams.
Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Annual Base Salary Based on Experience
Health InsuranceHigh school diploma or equivalent (associates or bachelors degree preferred).
Active insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health) or willingness to obtain.
Prior experience in insurance or a customer service environment preferred but not required
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Assist clients with billing questions, policy changes, and coverage inquiries.
Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and new policy documents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system.
Support producers and account managers with policy quotes and renewals.
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding documents or payments.
Cross-sell additional lines of insurance when appropriate.
Handle claim inquiries and direct clients to appropriate resources.
Ensure compliance with all agency and carrier procedures and state insurance regulations.
Provide exceptional service and build strong client relationships that encourage retention and referrals.
