Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or a related quantitative field. Masters is preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar analytical position, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced functions) and other MS Office products.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modeling (e.g., star schema).
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to a non-technical audience.
- Problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity to explore data for insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the banking industry's drivers and trends.
