Associate Attorney

Boise, United States

We’re a 20-person criminal defense firm built on real work, real collaboration, and zero pretense. If you’re an experienced attorney who’s ready to have more influence, more autonomy, and more meaningful courtroom time, we might be where you want to be.

We’re structured to let good lawyers thrive: no bloated hierarchy, a minimum of meetings, and you’re allowed to use your best judgment. We serve a mix of public defense and private clients, and we keep things human—team-based case reviews, shared insight, and systems that support your time instead of eating it up. You’ll manage your own caseload from the jump, help shape firmwide strategies, and have the chance to stretch into areas like civil rights, personal injury, or family law if that fits your strengths.

We’re growing intentionally, and we’re looking for smart, grounded lawyers who know how to get things done and who want to help shape what a modern defense firm can be.

If you’re court-savvy, client-centered, and ready to do the kind of work that keeps you sharp—we’d like to meet you.

This role is an opportunity to build a career with impact—serving real people, solving real problems, and reshaping what excellent legal representation looks like.

The Associate Attorney will independently manage a caseload primarily focused on criminal defense, with occasional cross-over into other areas such as civil rights, personal injury, or family law, depending on interest and aptitude. The attorney will serve as a first point of contact for many clients, develop litigation strategies, represent clients in court, and contribute to a collaborative case management culture rooted in integrity, innovation, and compassion.

communication a priority.

 Represent clients in criminal and civil litigation, including hearings, motions, trials, and

 Respond to court deadlines and procedural events with professionalism, clarity, and

timeliness.

 Assist with intake consultations and early-stage case evaluation, with support from the

client intake and paralegal teams.

 Collaborate with support staff and firm leadership to develop efficient workflows and

improve client service.

 Draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses using the firm’s preferred templates and

systems.

 Ensure strict compliance with Idaho Bar ethics rules and court rules of procedure.

Our values are non-negotiable. The incumbent must consistently champion and embody these core
