Associate Attorney

We are growing law firm with an existing book of business and looking for an experienced attorney to play a significant role in our continued growth. We have a team of veteran attorneys to help continue developing your legal skills and need an attorney with some experience and a desire to be a major factor in our firm.

This opportunity is a contractor position with the intent to hire full time. You will be able to bill a minimum 35 to 40 hours per week immediately and will be in the courtroom.

Duties
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Case management and preparation for litigation
- Attend court hearings, trials and depositions as necessary
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
- Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar of Texas and in good standing
- Strong writing and research skills
- Knowledge of legal procedures and practices
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $77.00 to $95.00 an hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift, will require additional hours at times
• Monday to Friday, will require additional days at times

Work Location: Hybrid remote, we have specific days that we meet in our office to collaborate and the office is always available for use. Work from home is common, however, you will be attending hearings throughout DFW.
