Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to general litigation law, probate, estate planning and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney will work collaboratively within our law office to provide exceptional legal services to our clients while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and settlement agreements across various practice areas.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation proceedings in areas such as personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, and securities law.
- Provide legal advice on estate planning matters and assist clients with wills, trusts, and probate issues.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting practice areas including tribal law & regulations and environmental law.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases while managing a caseload effectively.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, explain legal processes, and provide updates on case progress.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong background in one or more of the following areas: estate planning, probate, general litigation, and family law is preferred
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
