Job Overview:

Palmer & Barr, a prominent Insurance Defense Firm, has a tremendous opportunity available for an Associate Attorney to join our growing team in our Philadelphia office. Hybrid position offers some remote opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of litigation, legal research, and drafting of legal documents. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other resources.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
  • Assist in case preparation and management.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
  • Provide legal administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar association.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Experience: One to three (1-3) years of proven experience in Insurance Defense litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and communicate complex legal concept.
  • Prior experience in litigation, legal drafting, and research is preferred.
