Job Description:

Duncan Disability Law, S.C., located in Central Wisconsin and soon in Madison, Wisconsin, is a firm emphasizing Social Security disability (including Federal Court reviews), Worker’s Compensation, and Elder Law.

The applicant could work either Madison or our Nekoosa office, but training will mostly be done in Nekoosa with occasional meetings in Nekoosa as well.

We are open to expansions in other areas of law, depending on the applicant. We seek an associate attorney willing to learn, develop, and grow in multiple areas of law. We have a team-oriented approach to our practice. We will teach and mentor the skills for a successful legal practice, including client management, examination and cross-examination of witnesses, and negotiations. Experience is not required as we will train the right person. Career advancement is expected for a motivated and ambitious person. While the practice is demanding, the corporate culture is more relaxed and informal, with an appreciation for personal time and family. Job Requirements:

• License to practice law in the state of Wisconsin
• Excellent writing skills, with emphasis on briefing
• Experience in Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation a plus
• Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law a plus, but not a requirement
• Ability to communicate well with clients required
• Willing to perform hearings in administrative law settings
• Analytical skills
• Empathetic with client problems and issues
