Associate Attorney

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to family law, criminal law, and administrative law. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and advocate for clients. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with the senior attorney to provide comprehensive legal services and support to our clients.

Duties

• Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
• Assist in litigation processes by preparing for court appearances, depositions, and trials. Attend court hearings and depositions.
• Provide legal advice on matters related to landlord-tenant law, family law, civil litigation, administrative law, and criminal law.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while ensuring their best interests are represented.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect client cases.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research techniques and familiar with tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong writing skills for effective legal drafting and communication.
• Excellent negotiation abilities to advocate effectively for clients during settlements or disputes.
• Knowledgeable in various areas of law.
• Demonstrated experience in litigation processes with a focus on case management and trial preparation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated in managing individual caseloads.

• Law Degree and Missouri Bar membership required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,087.51 - $84,406.46 per year
