Associate Attorney

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to personal injury and property damage claims, civil litigation, worker's compensation claims, and criminal law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with the senior attorney and contribute to a wide range of legal matters while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, and motions.
• Assist in litigation processes by preparing case files and supporting materials.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings related to personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and more.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in disputes involving injury claim.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office.
• Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
• Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, properaty damage law, and litigation practices.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
• Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
