Associate Attorney

Qualifications

•Should be a member in Good Standing of the Florida Bar.

•The candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

•Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, and other office staff in a professional manner is needed.

•Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary is essential.

•Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

•The candidate will be managing full case load from case inception to post-trial.

•Will be attending hearings in multiple counties, depositions, mediations, and trials.

•Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents.

•Preparing reports to insurance carriers regarding case status.

•Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines.

Shrader Mendez and O’Connell is a boutique law firm seeking to hire an associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience working in a law firm. The candidate will be managing full case load from case inception to post-trial. Will be attending hearings in multiple counties, depositions, mediations, and trials. Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents. Preparing reports to insurance carriers regarding case status. Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines. Ability to meet billing requirements. Strong knowledge of WestLaw. Should be a member in Good Standing of the Florida Bar.

The firm's practice areas include criminal defense, personal injury, consumer protections, class actions, and business litigation. We are a bilingual firm and would love to have another spanish speaking attorney.

Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
