The Law Office of Elizabeth Russell, PLLC is a small, community-based law firm committed to providing compassionate and effective representation. Our team includes one managing attorney, one paralegal, and one law clerk. We offer a supportive, hands-on environment where new attorneys can grow quickly and gain real experience in and out of the courtroom.

Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Associate Attorney who is excited to build a career primarily in family law, while also gaining exposure to additional areas such as criminal law, document preparation, real estate, and general civil matters. This role is ideal for a newly licensed attorney or a recent graduate awaiting bar results who is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.Responsibilities

• Assist with family law cases including divorce, custody, modifications, and enforcement
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and prepare memos and case summaries
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings with supervision
• Assist with matters in criminal, civil, real estate, and document-prep practice areas
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Work collaboratively with our small team to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in Texas or awaiting Texas bar results
• Interest or experience in family law preferred
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Law office experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
