Associate Attorney

Purdy & Bailey, LLP is a boutique business and litigation law firm seeking a sharp, motivated Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of civil litigation experience. This role offers immediate hands-on work, client contact, and strong growth potential in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Handle court appearances, depositions, and mediations
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Assist with business transactional matters as needed

Qualifications

• J.D. and active CA Bar membership required
• 2–5 years civil litigation experience (business litigation preferred)
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
