About the Firm
The medical malpractice defense, personal injury, and family law attorneys at Campbell, Ference, Nelson & Hall provide personalized legal representation to medical and health care providers and facilities, injured individuals, and families throughout the State of Utah. Our attorneys provide zealous representation throughout all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in administrative and licensing proceedings before state licensing boards. We are a small firm with varied and consistent work in need of help to keep up with our growth after a partner was recently appointed to serve as a district court judge.
The Role
Campbell, Ference, Nelson & Hall seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented associate attorney, with at least one year of family law, personal injury, or insurance defense experience, to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance to our partners and clients. You will work under the supervision of experienced attorneys and be involved in all phases of litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to develop foundational litigation skills and gain hands-on experience in the fields of medical malpractice (insurance) defense, family law, and personal injury law.
Responsibilities
· Conduct thorough legal research.
· Draft legal documents, including briefs and pleadings.
· Research and analyze case law and statutes.
· Assist with litigation preparation, including drafting discovery requests and responses.
· Attend mediations, court hearings, and other legal proceedings.
· Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
· Assist with legal administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
· J.D. from an accredited law school.
· Admitted to practice and in good standing with the Utah State Bar.
· Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
