Associate Attorney

About the Job

A nationally recognized litigation practice is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense group in the Houston office. The practice handles a wide range of matters, including personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, trucking and transportation, professional liability, and other complex litigation.

This position is ideal for attorneys looking to strengthen their litigation skills, gain hands-on experience managing cases, and work closely with seasoned trial attorneys who prioritize mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. The role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Manage your own caseload with support and guidance from senior attorneys
• Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and oversee discovery
• Make court appearances and take an active role in trial proceedings
• Work directly with sophisticated clients on complex and high-stakes matters

You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where initiative is encouraged and strong performance is acknowledged.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Texas Bar license
• At least 2 years of civil defense litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills
• Experience conducting depositions and handling key phases of litigation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and eagerness to learn and develop

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
