Dagger Law is a midsize, full-service law firm, located in Lancaster, Ohio (Fairfield County). Dagger Law seeks an associate attorney to add to our growing team. The candidate will support and work directly with partners and other associates to support all practice areas of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on relevant case law and statutes.
  • Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial by organizing evidence and documentation.
  • Counsel clients on legal matters, guiding them through complex regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and protect their interests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case progress using legal administrative software.
  • Utilize legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to ensure comprehensive representation for clients.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar association is required.
  • Excellent research skills with proficiency in legal research databases.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to advocate for clients effectively.
  • Prior experience in a law firm setting is a plus but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
