Associate Attorney

About the Job

A growing litigation practice in the Detroit (Southfield) area is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its insurance defense team. This role offers substantive responsibility, hands-on courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to develop within a fast-paced and respected legal group.

What You’ll Do

• Handle matters involving Michigan No-Fault (PIP), automobile negligence, trucking, and premises liability
• Manage a litigation caseload from start to finish
• Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft motions, briefs, and other filings
• Represent clients in hearings, case evaluations, mediations, and other proceedings
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to build effective case strategies
• Grow litigation skills within a supportive, collaborative environment

What We’re Looking For

• Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for admission
• Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Interest or experience in insurance defense, PIP, trucking, or general liability litigation
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated approach
• Newly licensed attorneys or those with relevant internships, clerkships, or clinical experience are encouraged to apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
