Associate Attorney

About the Role

Benji Personal Injury is seeking an excellent litigation attorney who is disciplined, highly dependable, and detail-oriented who is looking to learn and to one day be the best. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work, enjoys structure, and can be trusted to complete assignments thoroughly and on time.

You will work closely with senior attorneys and be a key part of our litigation team, handling substantive tasks from pleadings through trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for core litigation work, including:

• Drafting Complaints and related pleadings
• Reviewing and responding to discovery, including form, special, and RFAs
• Taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Drafting, opposing, and arguing motions, including:
• Demurrers
• Motions for Summary Judgment
• Motions to Compel / Quash
• Other pre-trial and post-trial motions
• Handling pre-trial and post-trial motion practice
• Trial preparation and participation, including exhibit lists, witness outlines, trial briefs, and jury instructions
• Attending hearings, mediations, MSCs, FSCs, and bench/jury trials
• Maintaining organized case files, deadlines, and follow-ups with precision
• Communicating professionally with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $96,658.16 - $130,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
