Schaefer Halleen, a premier employment and litigation law firm in Minneapolis, is seeking a passionate and motivated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. Our firm is dedicated to advocating for employees and individuals facing workplace discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and other legal challenges. We also represent executives and professionals in complex employment matters, contract negotiations, and litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, and contract disputes.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive memoranda, motions, and briefs.
- Assist in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and preparing for depositions and trials.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, mediations, and hearings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.
- Maintain and cultivate strong client relationships, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed (or pending licensure) to practice in Minnesota.
- 0-3 years of legal experience, preferably in employment law or litigation.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire and ability to market and build practice
