Associate Attorney

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 0 to 3 years experience to join our team. Candidates must have a juris doctor from an accredited law school and be admitted to the North Carolina bar or awaiting licensure. The main focus on this position will be in bankruptcy law, but will also include real estate, civil litigation, and corporate/business law. Prior work experience within these practice areas is not necessary but preferred, but an inquisitive mind is a necessity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all stages of consumer bankruptcy cases
• Draft litigation pleadings, discovery, motions, and conduct legal research in litigation matters
• Assist small business owners in business formation, contract negotiation, and other transactional document preparation
• Represent buyers and sellers in all stages of real estate transactions

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Admission to the North Carolina state bar or awaiting licensure
• Exceptional project management skills, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze complex legal issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong skills in legal technology and practice management including Clio, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and specialized software for Real Estate and Bankruptcy matters
