Associate Attorney

About the Role

The Associate Attorney will work closely with the managing partner on a wide range of litigation tasks, including:

• Legal research and drafting of motions, pleadings, memos, and discovery
• Assisting with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Managing discovery responses, coordinating with clients, and communicating with providers and opposing counsel
• Reviewing medical records and building the evidentiary record for settlement and litigation
• Supporting high-value cases involving commercial vehicles, trucking accidents, and serious injuries
• Contributing to firm systems, processes, and case strategy as the practice continues its expansion

This role is ideal for someone who wants real litigation experience, not just settlement work. You will be trained, developed, and trusted with meaningful responsibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience required
• Personal injury or insurance defense background strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research and writing skills required
• Experience with hearings, discovery, and motion practice is a plus
• Trial experience or mock trial experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• Professionalism, reliability, and a team-first mindset

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary based on experience and Miami market (typically 90,000 to 120,000 for this level, plus performance opportunities)
