Job Description

Full-service boutique creditor’s rights firm seeking an associate attorney in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The firm’s primary practice areas include foreclosures, replevins, evictions, bankruptcy, collections, and general litigation matters focused on landlord/tenant law and other real estate related issues. We are seeking a motivated associate attorney to assist in each of these practice areas. Applicants should be self-motivated and well organized, as they will be expected to assist throughout the firm as needed. Creditor's Rights, Landlord-Tenant, or Civil Litigation experience required. This position will provide a wide range of valuable experiences to the prospective applicant including direct client interaction and courtroom experience. The firm has a casual office with flexible scheduling as well as a collaborative work environment. The requirement for the position is that the candidate attorney will be located in North Carolina. This position does require travel to court multiple times each week, and Attorney will gain valuable courtroom experience.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court throughout the state of North Carolina
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Legal Research
  • Advise clients
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Assist North Carolina office as needed

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Creditor's Rights, Landlord-Tenant, or Civil Litigation Experience
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina
  • Admission to the 3 Federal District Courts of North Carolina is a plus
  • Strong Research , Oral Advocacy, and Writing skills
  • Prefer 1-5 years of practice experience
  • Willingness to travel for court
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
