Job Summary

Mesch Clark & Rothschild is a full-service law firm focused on business law, real estate, employment law, estate planning, probate litigation, criminal defense, and civil litigation (commercial/business). Since 1957, the firm prides itself on serving its clients and its community.

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience or interests in various areas of law, with excellent writing and oral advocacy skills. The Attorney will work with our talented team to represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.

What you’ll do

  • Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and provide them with relevant advice
  • Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients
  • Explain legal options to clients and bring possible outcomes or threats to their attention
  • Develop arguments and represent clients in legal proceedings
  • Prepare legal documents, such as memoranda, contracts, settlement agreements, and pleadings, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Stay informed about current caselaw and legislation
  • Find ethical solutions to legal matters
  • Supervise legal assistants and paralegals
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • Represent the firm as an active member of our community

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Arizona in good standing
  • 1-5 years litigation experience
  • Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
  • Strong research skills with familiarity in using legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies and communicate the same to our clients.
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong organizational, reasoning and research skills; good judgment; attention to detail with commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work without constant supervision, demonstrating initiative in seeking work and managing workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; strong writing and research skills
  • Must be a self-starter, be able to prioritize workload, display good judgment
  • Professional presentation in behavior and office interactions
  • Trustworthy, dependable, and loyal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
