Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Associate Attorney to join our growing immigration law firm, which is comprised of five (5) attorneys and seven (7) immigration specialists. This position focuses primarily on non-immigrant visa and status petitions, including but not limited to E-2, H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and related filings.
This role is ideal for a newly licensed attorney or recent law graduate who is eager to build a career in immigration law. Prior immigration experience is not required; however, the candidate must be fluent in Korean and English, as the role involves frequent communication with Korean-speaking clients and overseas corporate entities. Comprehensive training and supervision will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and assist in the drafting of non-immigrant visa and change/extension of status petitions, including supporting legal arguments and exhibits
Conduct legal research on immigration regulations, USCIS policy guidance, and case law to support petition filings
Draft legal documents such as petition letters, legal memoranda, cover letters, and client correspondence
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and immigration specialists to ensure accurate and timely filings
Communicate professionally with clients regarding case status, document requests, and procedural requirements
Review and organize supporting documentation, including corporate records, employment materials, and beneficiary credentials
Track filing deadlines, RFEs, and case updates using the firm’s case management system
Assist with responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) under attorney supervision
Qualifications & Skills
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or awaiting bar admission)
Fluency in Korean and English is required (written and spoken)
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
Interest in immigration law and willingness to learn complex regulatory frameworks
Prior immigration experience is not required
