Associate Attorney

Valencia & Torres Law is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our dynamic personal injury team. This position involves managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution, including litigation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for injured clients, possess excellent legal writing and negotiation skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle personal injury cases from inception through trial or settlement
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Take and defend depositions, including those of clients, experts, and opposing parties
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel
• Participate in settlement negotiations and prepare settlement agreements
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida
• 1–3 years of experience in personal injury litigation preferred (recent graduates with clerkship or relevant internship experience will be considered)
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and personal injury law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Compassionate and client-centered approach

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
