We are hiring an Associate Attorney for our Real Estate & Title Insurance (RE&TI) Practice Group. This position offers hands-on involvement with complex real estate, mortgage, and notarial matters, as well as strong advancement opportunities. Compensation- Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 (DOE) plus competitive fringe benefits (401(k), full health insurance, CLE, among others).

Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex real estate, mortgage, and notarial matters, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to efficiently resolve cases and develop strategic legal solutions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate deeds, contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and motions
  • Represent clients in court hearings, legal proceedings, and negotiations
  • Communicate and meet with Registry of the Property personnel and other key stakeholders
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on evolving real estate and notarial laws
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation, ensuring accessibility for attorneys and staff
  • Support other practice areas as needed, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative legal team


Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
  • Notarial Bar certification required
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) – strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Experience handling real estate transactions, title insurance, and mortgage matters (2-3 years preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico (preferred but not required)
