Job Summary:
- King Law Firm, P.C., a growing, successful, and busy law firm in Sioux Falls, SD concentrating on auto accidents, personal injury, workers compensation, insurance claims, and disability is seeking an associate attorney.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Prepare for, and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Advise and represent clients on legal issues and disputes in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters.
- Communicate with colleagues, judges, attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff.
Qualification & Skills
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school.
- Successful completion of the bar exam (South Dakota). *Iowa license is a plus.
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
Spanish Speaking is a plus
Salary/Benefits
- Salary - Starting at $85,000
