Associate Attorney

Associate Attorney (Real Estate Transactions, Probate & Estate Planning)

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility Available)

Firm Type: Boutique, Systems-Driven, Tech-Forward

Are you a talented attorney who loves the law but hates the "chaos" of traditional law firms?

In 2025, we overhauled how we practice law. We stopped chasing clients for money, implemented bi-monthly billing, and built a world-class remote support team of 6 paralegals and assistants. The result? A profitable, streamlined firm where the attorney gets to focus on high-level strategy and client advocacy rather than administrative headaches.

We are looking for an Associate Attorney who is meticulous, tech-savvy, and ready to step into a firm that has the "engine" already running.

Compensation:

$85,000 - $100,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate transaction documents to ensure client interests are protected.
  • Collaborate with our remote support team to streamline case management and enhance client service.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to provide clients with informed and strategic advice.
  • Prepare and file probate and estate planning documents, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss case strategies and provide clear, actionable guidance.
  • Utilize our tech-forward systems to manage case files efficiently and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and changes in real estate and probate law to maintain our firm's competitive edge.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate transaction documents with a focus on client protection.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote support team to enhance client service and streamline case management.
  • Proven track record of conducting thorough legal research to provide strategic and informed advice to clients.
  • Experience in preparing and filing probate and estate planning documents, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Ability to participate in client meetings, offering clear and actionable guidance on case strategies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tech-forward systems to manage case files efficiently and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Commitment to staying updated on legal trends and changes in real estate and probate law to maintain a competitive edge for the firm.

Who You Are:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Mexico.
  • Experienced: Ideally 2–5 years in Real Estate or Probate, but we value competence and character over a specific year count.
  • Detail-Oriented: You take pride in "bulletproof" drafting. You’re the person who catches the typo in the legal description that everyone else missed.
  • Systems-Minded: You enjoy using technology to work smarter, not harder.
