Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante (LTKE Law) is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2+ years of experience to join our litigation team, focusing on civil litigation, civil defense, business law, commercial litigation, and municipal matters.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of civil litigation and civil defense matters, including municipal matters, business disputes, contract claims, and commercial litigation, from case inception through resolution. This role involves representing and defending clients in contested civil actions and advising municipal and public-sector clients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation, civil defense, business, commercial, and municipal matters from intake through resolution
• Represent and defend clients in contested civil actions, including matters involving municipalities and public entities
• Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Prepare trial materials, witness outlines, and exhibits
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, municipal officials, and court personnel
• Maintain organized case files and litigation calendars

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, civil defense, business law, commercial litigation, or municipal law
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently with attention to detail
