Location: Lawrence, KS (Remote Eligible)

Riling, Burkhead & Nitcher, a respected law firm with a 126-year tradition of excellence, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an entry-level position with mentorship, ideal for recent law school graduates or attorneys looking to begin their legal careers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Remote work is available after completion of a 2–3 week in-office training period in Lawrence, Kansas. Candidates may work from any state, provided they hold an active Kansas Bar license and can complete the initial in-office training.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide phone consultations to clients on a wide range of legal matters
• Draft correspondence and legal documents
• Review contracts and related materials
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys
• Manage a high volume of client interactions efficiently

This position does not involve court appearances or litigation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active Kansas Bar license in good standing
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
