Associate Attorney – Expunction & Record Sealing (Florida)

We are seeking a Florida-licensed attorney interested in handling criminal record expunction and record sealing matters through their own independent practice, using MyCaseCleared’s administrative and case-management infrastructure.

This opportunity is ideal for attorneys seeking a predictable, statute-driven practice area with reduced administrative burden.

Position Summary

The attorney will provide legal representation directly to clients under Florida law. MyCaseCleared supplies non-legal support services such as intake organization, document preparation support, and case workflow management.

The attorney retains full discretion over case acceptance, legal strategy, filings, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Handle expunction and record sealing matters under Florida law
• Review criminal history records and confirm statutory eligibility
• Review, revise, and file petitions, motions, and supporting documents
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutes, court rules, and local procedures
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and procedural matters
• Coordinate with clerks, prosecutors, and relevant agencies
• Appear at hearings when required (many matters resolve without hearings)

Support Provided

MyCaseCleared provides non-legal administrative support, including:

• Structured client intake and record organization
• Draft document templates and standardized workflows
• Case tracking, deadline reminders, and document management
• Administrative coordination related to filings and follow-ups

This role emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Florida (or bar-pending with expected admission)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage repeatable statutory work
• Interest in post-conviction relief or criminal justice matters

Compensation & Work Structure

• Independent practice arrangement
• Legal fees are set and collected by the attorney or their firm
• MyCaseCleared charges a separate flat vendor fee for administrative services
