Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting in-depth research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with litigation processes. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis across multiple practice areas.
- Draft and review a variety of legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist in managing client files, case documentation, and legal administrative tasks to ensure organized case flow.
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, negotiations, and client meetings by gathering relevant case information and evidence.
- Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel or clients to achieve favorable outcomes aligned with legal standards.
- Stay current on developments in areas such as landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, tribal regulations, patent law, and workers’ compensation law to provide informed counsel.
- Collaborate with the team on complex litigation matters by conducting discovery, analyzing evidence, and preparing legal strategies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of multiple legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to efficiently locate relevant case law and statutory information.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Effective negotiation skills to advocate for clients’ interests during settlement discussions or contractual negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of the legal process from research through litigation support; experience with legal administrative tasks is preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of legal research tools like Westlaw; experience with LexisNexis is a plus.
