Associate Attorney - General Liability

The law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their General Liability Group in one of the listed offices. This role is ideal for candidates with 4–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience, particularly in general liability, auto, products liability, premises liability, and construction defect matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload in general liability and insurance defense matters
• Strategize and collaborate with senior partners and department leadership on litigation approaches
• Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, and case management from inception through resolution
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Appear in court and represent clients during hearings, trials, and mediations
• Review and analyze medical records and other case documentation
• Provide high-quality legal service to a broad client base
• Engage client consultations, maintain communication, and develop case strategies

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice in New Jersey is required; New York and/or Pennsylvania bar admissions are a plus
• 4–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience, preferably handling general liability cases
• Excellent analytical, legal research, and written communication skills
• Experience managing cases, taking depositions, preparing legal documents, and in-court representation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
