Associate Attorney - General Liability

About the Job

A leading national litigation firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join the General Liability Defense Practice Group in its Houston office. The practice handles a broad spectrum of cases, including personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, trucking and transportation, professional liability, and more.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for attorneys seeking to strengthen their litigation skills, manage their own cases under experienced mentorship, and collaborate closely with accomplished trial lawyers who emphasize professional development and teamwork. The firm supports a flexible, hybrid work schedule combining remote options with in-office engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an individual caseload with partner guidance and mentoring.
• Draft and present motions, conduct depositions, and oversee discovery.
• Appear in court and play an integral role during trials.
• Work directly with sophisticated clients on high-profile, complex matters.
• Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment that encourages initiative and recognizes achievement.

Qualifications

• Active Texas law license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ civil litigation defense experience.
• Proficient in legal research, writing, motion practice, and discovery procedures.
• Prior experience with depositions and substantive litigation activities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach with a desire for growth and solutions-oriented mindset.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
