Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide vigorous legal support and representation for clients involved in insurance claims, focusing on defending insurers against liability claims. Your expertise will help ensure effective case management, strategic litigation, and comprehensive legal research. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your litigation skills while working on a diverse array of insurance-related matters. You will collaborate closely with senior attorneys, clients, and experts to deliver exceptional legal services that uphold our commitment to justice and client satisfaction.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Assist in managing all phases of litigation from initial investigation through trial preparation for insurance defense cases.
  • Analyze insurance policies, claim files, and relevant regulations to assess liability and develop defense strategies.
  • Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests.
  • Coordinate with experts such as accident reconstruction specialists or medical professionals to strengthen case positions.
  • Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures and administrative requirements.
  • Support senior attorneys in court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and at trial as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in litigation and insurance defense law. Applicant should aspire to become a trial attorney.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with Westlaw is preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Legal administrative experience including managing case files and tracking deadlines efficiently.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills and ability to interface with clients.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
