Associate Attorney - Litigation - Junior level (Pine Brook, NJ)

On the Healthcare side, the Firm's clients have included large physician group practices, hospitals, hospital medical staff, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratory companies, as well as the complete panoply of ancillary service providers. A Litigation Attorney for our Life Sciences team is sought for Frier Levitt's Pine Brook, NJ, office. This is an opportunity to join an active litigation practice group and work on complex litigation matters of national significance involving participants in the life sciences industry.

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for:

• Drafting of pleadings, motions and written discovery requests
• Due diligence, review and indexing of discovery requests and complex contract documents
• Oral and written communication with clients on factual investigation, litigation strategies and case status
• Drafting objections and responses to written discovery requests
• Preparing and managing scheduling orders, protective orders, e-discovery orders
• Preparing deposition outlines and deposition exhibits
• Preparing witness outlines and exhibits for trials and hearings in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience with a passion for litigation
• Demonstrated interest or experience in healthcare or life sciences a plus (law school health law concentration a plus)
• Interest in Pharmacy Benefit Design
• Must be willing to work in the Pine Brook, NJ, office a minimum of 4 days per week
• Admitted to practice in NY, NJ, and/or PA (other states will be considered so long as there is a willingness to become admitted to NY, NJ or PA) (Recent law school graduates must have passed a bar exam)
• Strong writing skills

• Team-player mindset, and ability to work cohesively and collaboratively with a team of attorneys
• Strong work ethic
• Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred
