Associate Attorney-Municipal Law

Boggia, Boggia, & Betesh is a full-service law firm whose attorneys have represented corporations, engineering firms and municipalities for almost 50 years.

Our attorneys are prominent figures in municipal and land-use law, and serve as municipal counsel for several towns throughout northern New Jersey. Our specialties also include tax appeal defense, litigation and serving as defense counsel to municipal engineering firms.

We are seeking a well-qualified associate to assist with our municipal, tax appeal and litigation practices. Strong organization, research and brief writing skills are required, as well as the ability to attend Mayor/Council and other night meetings. Prior experience representing public entities is a plus, as well as a familiarity with OPRA, OPMA, the Local Redevelopment & Housing Law, Title 59 and related statutes.

Job Requirements:

• Daily interactions with municipal employees and officials
• Conducting legal research and preparing formal legal opinions.
• Assisting public entities in day-to-day responsibilities
• Assisting with responding to OPRA requests
• Drafting resolutions and ordinances
• Assisting in the defense of property tax appeals
• Attending in-person night meetings.
• Assisting in preparing discovery requests and motions, attending depositions and making Court appearances in both Superior Court and the Tax Court of New Jersey
