MyCaseCleared is a legal-services support company that provides administrative and technology tools used by independently licensed attorneys. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation.

We are seeking a Colorado-licensed attorney interested in handling criminal record sealing and expungement matters through their own independent practice, with the support of structured administrative and case-management infrastructure.

This opportunity is well suited for attorneys who want a predictable stream of statutory post-conviction work without the administrative overhead that typically makes these cases inefficient.

Role Overview

The attorney provides legal representation directly to clients in record sealing and expungement matters under Colorado law. MyCaseCleared supplies non-legal administrative support, allowing attorney time to focus on eligibility confirmation, legal judgment, filing, and hearings when required.

The attorney retains full discretion over case acceptance, legal strategy, pricing, filings, and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Handle record sealing and expungement matters under Colorado law
  • Review criminal history records and assess statutory eligibility
  • Review, revise, and file petitions and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutes, court rules, and local procedures
  • Appear at hearings when required
  • Communicate with clients regarding legal questions and case status
  • Coordinate with court clerks, prosecutors, and relevant agencies

Support Provided

MyCaseCleared provides non-legal administrative support, including:

  • Structured client intake and record organization
  • Draft petition templates and standardized workflows
  • Case tracking, deadline reminders, and document management
  • Administrative coordination related to filings and follow-ups

Attorney judgment and legal decision-making are never delegated.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Colorado
  • Experience with criminal law, post-conviction relief, or statutory motion practice preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with repeatable, process-driven work
  • Ability to manage matters independently within ethical and professional standards

Compensation & Structure

  • Independent contractor / independent practice arrangement
  • Compensation equivalent to approximately $75–$100 per hour of attorney time, based on experience and matter complexity
  • No minimum hours or volume requirements
  • Legal fees are set and collected by the attorney or their firm

Who This Is a Good Fit For

  • Solo or small-firm attorneys
  • Attorneys with a criminal defense or post-conviction background
  • Lawyers who value predictable, low-friction statutory work
  • Attorneys looking to add or streamline a record-relief practice line
