Associate – Business Litigation

Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks a skilled and highly qualified litigation associate with 4 to 5 years of general litigation experience to join our nationally recognized business litigation practice. The candidate should have a high level of academic achievement from a highly ranked law school, strong legal writing skills and related experience. Previous experience as a judicial clerk is strongly preferred but not required.

Our Business Litigation Group represents clients such as Google, Nestlé, Adobe, Visa, Dell, and L’Oréal in disputes across Northern California and nationwide. We are known for our ability to simplify complex facts for judges and juries, our lean staffing model, and our pragmatic approach to resolving disputes while preserving client resources and reputations. Our associates gain early, hands-on responsibility in case strategy, depositions, motion practice, client counseling, and trial work. For example, our associates have recently examined CEOs on the stand, cross-examined experts, and argued pre-trial motions in high-stakes federal and state trials, contributing directly to significant client victories.

The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $265,000 and $290,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, years of relevant experience and professional skills required for this role. Additional compensation may include discretionary hours-based and additional bonuses, health/welfare benefits, vacation and leave time (including parental and sabbatical), and paid holidays.
