Associate Chiropractor

Ethical, Evidence-based Chiropractic practice in the mountains of Western North Carolina looking for a rockstar chiropractic associate with opportunity to buy into ownership of practice for the right fit. Some of our senior doctors are dialing back and we need people to help pick up the patient load. We have an excellent reputation and a large patient base.

Office culture:

We are relaxed, honest, and depend on clear communication with no drama. Our primary focus is on providing the best care we can to our patients, and we want all of our employees to enjoy coming to work and have fun.

Business model:

We focus on quality above quantity. We are highly compliant with all Medicare and regulatory standards. We love working with other types of healthcare professions and have a good professional network in our community.

-We don’t use sales tactics like large treatment plans, pay up front, etc.

-We don’t xray in house and refer out for it only when needed.

-We combine several soft tissue therapies, a diverse array of chiropractic techniques, exercise rehab, and several additional clinical modalities to provide quick relief that lasts long term.

-We are located in the beautiful, semi-rural town of Waynesville North Carolina (population 10,000) that acts as the hub for a large rural farming community (population 63,000) and word of mouth advertising is king. If we do a good job, people tell their friends and referrals come in. There is no shortage of people here who hurt and we want to help as many as possible.

-We have private treatment rooms and Hill Labs Air flex tables that are professionally maintained.

-We are mostly a cash practice (all chiropractors are legally required to work with Medicare, but we are non-par providers and our patients still pay us up front).

-We use a medical discount plan that allows us to simplify our billing, so you can spend less time explaining costs to people and more time getting them better. Our fully-compliant system allows us to charge a flat rate for basic care, while still adding on additional charges for people who need additional care.

Skills required:

-We use a variety of adjusting techniques and we need someone proficient in: Diversified, Drops, Flexion distraction, and Activator to meet the needs of our current clients. We also do some Gonstead, SOT blocking, etc. If you have other techniques that you can bring to the table, that is great, just as long as they work and have good quality evidence behind them.

-We do extremity work, and are looking for an associate who is proficient with all types of extremity adjusting, and has a good foundation in anatomy so we can teach any needed soft tissue skills.

-Soft tissue treatments:

Proficiency in MRT, ART, IASTM, dry needling, electric stim, and cupping are a plus. We can train you to get you up to speed as long as you have a good foundation of anatomy.

-Communication Skills:

The foundation of every good relationship is good communication. We need someone who can educate our patients, build relationships and represent our practice well.

-Computer skills:

We have a streamlined and compliant electronic health records system that is user friendly and easy to pick up, but only if you already have basic computer skills. You need to be able to download and save files, navigate web browsers, type efficiently, etc.

Training:

We do a lot of things that are outside the realm of standard chiropractic care (modalities, soft tissue work, extremity treatments, exercise rehab, etc.) and we are happy to train and mentor on any skills you may need. We are also happy to learn from you! Our egos are small and we are all just looking to learn and improve so we can do better for our patients. A rising tide lifts all ships.

Benefits and Pay: Starting pay is 27% with increases based on performance (percentage pay increases based on patient visit average (essentially, as you get busier, your percentage of the take home increases).

With our current model that means up to $85,000/ year depending on performance.

Health Insurance: Offering health insurance through a small business like ours is ridiculously expensive (both for the employer and the employee) and the coverage of the available insurance is lacking to say the least. We have found it is cheaper and better to offer a health stipend instead that offsets the cost of our employees getting their own plans through the health insurance marketplace.

Opportunity to buy into the practice for the right person and get a bigger piece of the pie. This is a growth opportunity. The owner of the practice will be looking for someone excellent that he can pass the torch to in the coming years. If you think you have the skills and drive, let us know. If you want to stay an associate and not have to run the show, that is also okay.

Hours: Seeking approximately 30 hours a week to meet clinical need, although part time is negotiable. Monday through Friday. Weekends off.

Expectations:

We expect you to be kind, and honest and always act with integrity and in the best interest of the patient and the practice.

You will also be expected to represent the practice well, and attending marketing and outreach events to get to know the local community is highly encouraged to help build your reputation and attract additional clients.

We expect you to continue learning and do your best!

If this sounds like a good fit for you then reach out to us with your resume and a letter of interest explaining why you might be a good fit. We don’t use AI to screen applicants, we prefer a hands-on, human touch for our chiropractors and patients (pun intended).
