About the Team

A dynamic team of book publishing professionals responsible for acquisition strategy in health sciences. The team works closely with editors, authors, learned societies and institutes with a cross functional profile internally.

Team’s Key Role

· Acquire and publish books that conform to editorial and industry standards

· Adhere to peer-review best practices meeting the market requirement

· Work with the academic community and learned medical societies

· Effective coordination with teams internally

Absolute Requirement in the Candidate

A scientific temperament, respect for data, enthusiastic about market research, sound communication skills, liking for books and eye for detail.

Qualification and Experience

A Master’s or PhD in life sciences is preferred but not essential. Candidates with publishing experience can be offered a higher position.

Key Responsibilities of the Commissiong Editor

· Manage a book program from acquisition to publishing

· Develop strong author networks and market intelligence

· Prepare database of authors and societies, track key conferences

· Negotiate and finalize book contracts

· Ensure integrity in content both text and figures

· Coordinate with marketing and sales team when required

Skills required

· Proficiency with basic office tools

· Strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to connect with people

· A team player who can work with several teams

· Basic understanding of scientific publishing and its rigors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per year
