ABOUT OUR CONSTRUCTION QUANTUM TEAM

Whether it’s to prevent or prepare for potential project complications before they begin, manage and mitigate risk on an ongoing project, or resolve disputes rooted in issues from the past, Secretariat experts understand the complexities that can result in delays and costs. Our quantity surveyors, engineers, forensic accountants, project managers, architects, schedulers, and industry specialists are experts in the valuation of construction works of all types and have experience handling projects in every corner of the world.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, and proactive team player to join our growing team of highly experienced quantity surveying experts, based in our Dubai office. We can offer exposure to some of the most significant and technically challenging disputes worldwide and accelerated learning and development through hands-on involvement in live matters. This role gives you an Opportunity to build a differentiated skillset at the intersection of data, construction, and expert advisory and we are looking for consultants who can:

• Build, manipulate, and analyse large datasets (primarily in Excel) to support quantum analysis
• Structure, clean, condition, and aggregate raw data into clear, reliable, and auditable datasets
• Develop and maintain robust databases to support ongoing analysis and reporting
• Identify key issues within data and support development of overall analysis
• Develop clear, structured, client-ready outputs (tables, charts, models)
• Support drafting of reports and analytical sections
• Maintain strong quality control and accuracy across all deliverables
• Work closely with senior team members on live disputes and tight deadlines
• Able to take messy, inconsistent data and turn it into something reliable and usable
• Takes ownership of data and outputs, not just tasks
• Improves efficiency through tools, automation, and smarter ways of working

Requirements

• Exceptional Excel skills (non-negotiable) – able to build and audit complex models quickly
• Strong interest / capability in AI, automation, or data tools (Python, Power BI, etc. a plus)
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong capability in handling large, unstructured datasets and turning them into usable outputs
• Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal)
• Strong work ethic (non-negotiable), positive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Produces accurate, well-structured analysis with minimal oversight
• Thinks beyond the numbers to identify what matters
