To enable our strategy, we utilize cutting edge technology tools for data collection, transformation, and analysis.


The Associate Data Governance Analyst, as part of our Data Governance team, will help ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and secure, laying the foundation for analytics across the company. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to learn the principles of data governance and grow into a data-focused career. You’ll support the team in organizing, documenting, and maintaining data assets, while gaining exposure to tools and practices that power enterprise data management. The Associate Data Governance Analyst has the opportunity to collaborate not only within the Data & Analytics team, but also with technology and business teams across the entire enterprise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the data catalog and business glossary by entering metadata and updating definitions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and manage master data.
  • Support data quality checks and help document issues or inconsistencies.
  • Help track data access and usage across systems to ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Collaborate with team members to document data governance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in meetings with business and technical stakeholders to learn about data needs and challenges.
  • Help prepare training materials and resources to promote data governance awareness.
  • Stay informed on basic data privacy and compliance concepts.

This position requires authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This role does not allow for 100% remote work. Qualified out of state candidates must be willing to relocate and will need to live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA and be willing to work onsite 5 days a week.


Compensation:

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$60,200‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$79,100.‏‏‎ ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for annual cash bonuses based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of data concepts such as databases, tables, and fields.
  • Experience writing SQL.
  • Willingness to learn data governance tools like Microsoft Purview, Alation, or Collibra.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Curiosity about how data flows through systems and supports business decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed.
