Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and a strong foundation in various dental procedures. This role requires proficiency in general dentistry with experience in oral surgery and endo a plus. The Associate Dentist will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest standards of patient assessment, treatment planning, and overall dental health. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide a range of dental services including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Conduct routine examinations, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other necessary procedures.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in a four-handed dentistry environment to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care measures.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques to provide the best care possible.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in oral surgery/endo is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficient in medical imaging and dental fabrication processes.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
