Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong foundation in general dentistry, with experience in oral surgery being highly desirable. As an Associate Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental services while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive dental care in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Execute dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other necessary treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize our dental software such as Oryx for patient management and record keeping.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral health, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed within the clinic.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid dental license to practice in the state.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
