Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in a variety of dental procedures and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform a range of dental procedures including but not limited to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and aseptic technique in all clinical settings.
- Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient treatments and outcomes.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to provide optimal patient care and education.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices, including proficiency in software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix.
- Engage with patients to discuss treatment options, addressing any concerns or questions regarding their oral health.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid dental license to practice in the state.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with dental office operations and experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and assessment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
